The idea of a bagless vacuum began in the 1920s. However, it wasn't until 1936 when Rexair began incorporating water into the design of the cleaner. This idea that dust and dirt could be trapped in the water began a new slogan.

It wasn't until 1955 with the help of the engineers and executives of the company that the Rexair cleaner was renamed the "Rainbow." Marketing materials went out claiming that "your home can be fresh as a Rainbow with the cleaner of tomorrow."

The Rainbow most certainly has become the cleaner of tomorrow proven by the design, longevity and quality of the product. It is manufactured in a facility in Cadillac, Michigan and shipped worldwide so that families around the world can breathe a little easier thanks to the Rainbow.
